I finished my first Create-A-Card archetype, and I actually did some play testing to boot. The results were beautiful; the power level is right where I wanted it to be. Seems like a whack anti-meta deck more than anything else.

This card is placed on the top or bottom of your deck during your 3rd Standby Phase after placing it on top of that Extra Deck Zone, or when that Extra Deck Zone becomes vacant.

wowza, i love this archetype. its soooooooo busted. and very spashable...this cards could make appearances in lots of decks. feind type could bring infernity back to life, and generic syncrhos could make someone splash a few of the 1900 beater for effects of the synchro, its own effect, or for attacking. this theme has a lot of options, prolly too many to ever be made. i love it though, so cool.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call it busted. It did manage to get 2-0d by Roids. Does decently against more conventional stuff, though.
ReplyDeleteWeaknesses include a highly reactive play style, lack of their own advantage engine, Book of Moon, Mind Crush, Effect Veiler... ya know, typical main board/side board stuff.
This new card stacking thing is interesting.
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to get used to it I suppose. Konami is introducing their own card stacking mechanic in the form of an "Exceeds summon".

thats true. i think these would be best as support cards. like the 1900 beater would be the effect veiler from hell. lol.
ReplyDeleteWe've got basically nothing to go by when it comes to how Exceeds Summoning works or what it entails, so I can't really say anything about it yet.
ReplyDeleteVeiler is probably better than Creature Keeper overall since it has a quick effect instead of an ignition effect. =P
thats true, but creature keeper is permanent. shooting star for the loss? scar red for the loss? thunder king for the loss? lol. i like it anyways =]
